KRK RP8 G3 is the largest full-range model in this series of full range powered reference monitors. Third-generation KRK Rokit monitors are based around the Rokit G2 series which saw KRK become the best-selling worldwide studio speaker brand. This series has built on this success and promise to offer the music professional superior sound reproduction and high-quality build at a price that won’t break the bank.
RP8 G3 is powered by a 1″ soft dome tweeter coupled with a refined and improved 6″ version of KRKs famous glass-aramid yellow mid-woofer. Combined, these high quality drivers produce 100W RMS of power across an impressively wide frequency range (35Hz – 35kHz). Great drivers are nothing without great amplification and, with this in mind, KRK have used high-quality Class A/B bi-amplification for the third-generation of Rokit monitors. Class A/B amplifiers are very efficient reducing the power lost through heat and delivering smooth power across all output levels making the RP8’s powerful, efficient and versatile.
Followers of the Rokit series of monitors will have noticed the subtle reshaping of the RP8’s cabinet. This stylish new design isn’t merely a cosmetic tweak but is the result of KRKs never-ending quest for audio perfection. The unique cabinet shape is designed to minimize colorization, resonance and, thanks to an integrated, front-firing bass port maximise bass response for deep, responsive low-end. The RP8 G3 cabinet is fitted with a padded, foam base that prevents unwanted vibrations through your speaker stands or studio furniture.
Styled in a white finish, the Genelec 8341A is a point-source monitor meant for near-field applications in the realm of pro audio. It features a coaxial design which nestles driver and tweeter—as well as two 6.6” woofers—in one location, thus aligning their acoustical axes, and securing an accurate point of sonic radiation. It’s also worth noting the 8341A’s Intelligent Signal Sensing technology, as well as the connections this technology affords you: ISS automatically detects whether analog or digital sources are being run into the monitor and allows the speaker to produce sound accordingly. To put it another way, one XLR input accepts analog signals, the other XLR takes AES/EBU, and the monitor itself automatically selects the input source.
The S-DJ Series of active reference speakers is designed to give professional DJs and producers accurate neutral sound and excellent flexibility. Whether you are DJing, producing music or auditioning tracks, the S-DJs faithfully reproduce the original source – while a built-in linear EQ lets you fine-tune the frequencies as needed.
Styled in a white finish, the Genelec 8331 is a point-source, near-field monitor for pro-audio applications. It features a coaxial design, which houses its midrange driver, treble tweeter, and dual 5.1” woofers in one location, thereby aligning their acoustical axes and ensuring an accurate point of sonic radiation. The monitor can accept both analog and digital AES/EBU signals from separate XLR jacks, using Intelligent Signal Sensing technology (ISS) to detect automatically what kind of audio is being fed into the monitor.
Yamaha’s “STUDIO” series monitors have been designed with serious monitoring in mind. Emphasis is on reference-quality reproduction precision that lets you hear sonic details, rather than flattering sound. They carry on in the tradition of the venerable NS10M STUDIO monitor speaker, which was the definitive near-field speaker monitor in an overwhelming majority of professional studios throughout the world for many years from the 80s onward. But technology has evolved dramatically right throughout the audio chain, and speakers must follow suit. The new top-of-the-line MSP7 STUDIO Powered Monitor Speaker is capable of delivering consistent quality and performance that you can rely on in modern production environments that handle any combination of digital and analog sources as well as stereo and surround formats.
The Yamaha MSP5 STUDIO is a two-way bi-amplified bass reflex speaker system that delivers outstanding monitoring precision for digital or analog production in stereo or surround formats. The more compact dimensions of the MSP5 STUDIO make it an ideal monitor choice for smaller project studios and DAW based production systems. The MSP5 STUDIO features a 5-inch cone woofer driven by a 40-watt amplifier and a 1-inch dome tweeter driven by a 27-watt amplifier.
