The NT5 is RØDE’s premier small-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone, sometimes referred to as a ‘pencil mic’.Intended for recording acoustic instruments, drum overheads, cymbals, and live performances, the compact externally polarized mic employs a 1/2″ capsule, an active J-FET impedance converter with a bipolar output buffer. Its tight cardioid pickup pattern also makes it ideal for use as an indoor dialogue microphone for filmmaking on a mic stand or boom. Expanding the NT5’s versatility, an interchangeable omnidirectional capsule (NT45-O) is available. Finished in durable satin nickel, the NT5 available as a single microphone or as an acoustically matched pair.
When you need perfection, the KSM32 delivers! Offering natural, clear sound reproduction and flexible operation, the KSM32 is one of the preeminent side-entry microphones in the world. This cardioid condenser microphone features Class A transformerless preamp circuitry, an ultra low mass 2.2 micron diaphragm for excellent transient response, and very low self-noise. The KSM32 works sonic magic on acoustic instruments, wind instruments, and vocals, giving them a vibrant, arresting tone that you can’t take your ears off of. But perhaps the best quality of the KSM32 is its remarkable way of capturing those ephemeral, indefinable elements that can go into making a great recording, things like “atmosphere” and “ambience.” Such a quality microphone comes with a high price, but when you listen to the results, you’ll know it was worth it!
The KSM44A is a premium, large-diaphragm, side-address condenser microphone with multiple polar pattern options (cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional). The refined and sophisticated design of the KSM44A features an externally biased, dual 1-inch diaphragms, extensive internal pop filtering and Prethos™ Advanced Preamplifier Technology for a ground-breaking threshold minimum of self-noise. The KSM44A is the premier choice for the highest level of professional studio and stage performance.
The NT2-A carries on the tradition forged by the now legendary RØDE NT2. A professional large 1″ capsule studio microphone incorporating three-position pick-up patterns, pad, and high pass filter switches conveniently located on the mic body. The frequency and transient response of this transducer have been voiced to complement today’s modern recording techniques, and yet still evoke the silky smooth character of the legendary microphones of the 50s and 60s. These features provide the flexibility and superlative audio characteristics that make the NT2-A one of the most versatile condenser mics available. Supplied with the SM6 shock mount, dust cover, microphone cable and downloadable instructional video hosted by Grammy-nominated engineer and producer John Merchant showing a range of recording techniques specific to the NT2-A.
The PGA181 is a side-address cardioid condenser microphone with a smooth frequency response with highly durable construction that delivers excellent sound. Extremely versatile, the PGA181 is a go-to mic for use with a wide range of applications, including acoustic and amplified instruments, vocals and live rehearsal recording and performance.
Extended high frequency response and supercardioid pick-up pattern for higher signal output, cuts through high on-stage sound levels. Smooth warm tonal response and full dynamic range, with presence lift for vocal clarity and projection. Consistent on/off axis and proximity response maintain sound quality while moving, providing greater on-stage freedom.Full metal construction and extensive suspension and shock-mounting minimize handling noise and signal interference. High output performance microphone, offering power, clarity and projection (also available with a switch: e 845-S).
The RØDE NT6 is an extremely compact 1/2″ cardioid condenser microphone, specifically designed for difficult mounting applications where the highest quality audio is required. Although clearly relevant to instrument miking, the NT6 is extremely well suited to any situation where an unobtrusive but powerful microphone is required such as location recording. The microphone is split into two modular components, joined by via a custom 3m (10′) shielded, Kevlar® reinforced cable. Featuring a gold-sputtered, true-condenser capsule, the NT6 capsule head measures 45mm (1.8”) in length and weighs only 42gm (1.5oz). The included all-metal, multi-position mounting ring provides 180 degrees of vertical rotation.
The NT6 preamp-body incorporates both a high-pass filter and pad setting. The high-pass filter can be introduced to cut vibration, rumble and undesired sounds sources under 80Hz, while the PAD offers a -10dB level attenuation, useful when recording louder sound sources.
The NT6’s small form factor make it an ideal small diaphragm cardioid microphone for use in the Mid-Side (M/S) stereo array, in combination with a figure-8 large diaphragm microphone such as the NT2-A, NT2000 or K2.
The Beta 27 side-address condenser microphone is precision engineered for professional sound reinforcement and project studio recording applications. Its flat frequency response and low self noise provide unerring performance in demanding environments.
